Rene Marie Russo has been a supermodel, actress and filmmaker in the United States. Her elegant beauty and her success in the film industry are a testament to her skills as a performer. When she was a model in her early years, she first began modeling in the 70s. Her popularity quickly grew within the world of modeling. She studied theatre and acting towards the beginning of the decade before appearing on stage shows in Los Angeles, and other parts of California. Russo first appeared on television on ABCs Sable with the character Eden Kendell, in 1987. In her first feature film Major League two years after she portrayed Tom Berengers romantic interest. The consistency of her performance won the hearts of critics who were initially hesitant about her abilities as an actor. Her role in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak was a favorite of critics, as she could not be compared to Dustin Hoffman or Morgan Freeman. However, according to her own words she never was passionate about the acting. In 2005, she took a long self-imposed break. The reason she returned was her role in Thor. In addition, she starred in her husbands Oscar award-winning film Nightcrawler. The Intern and Just Getting Started are two fun films where she was a part of the cast.
Rose Namajunas has been one of the UFC's most well-known female athletes. She started her career as an amateur fighter competing in various regional promotions prior to signing to Invicta Fighting Championships and later joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Namajunas has racked up a lot of attention since joining the UFC due to both her on and off the octagon success. Namajunas was born on the 29th of June, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrant family. While growing up, Rose was involved in activities like basketball and kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships gave her the opportunity to make her debut as a professional at age 18 when she submitted two competitors. Dana White, who was paying close attention to her at the moment, signed her in the UFC strawweight division in December 2014. She had recently turned 22. The career of Rose has been full of both lows and highs but she's always capable of coming out of her fights with a win. Rose fought Carla Esparza on April 15, 2015, for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose beat Esparza with a technical knockout in less than three minutes of Round One. Rose not only got the title, but also was awarded Fighter Of The Night. Rose was also able to make MMA history by winning this fight because she became the first female to fight for a champion title within an organization that is a major one. Following this victory Namajunas continued to win victories, including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC after these wins .
